About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist / Accountant to join our finance team. This role will support various special projects, assist with credit card reconciliation, accounts payable (A/P), and help maintain smooth financial operations for our growing staffing firm. The ideal candidate has strong accounting fundamentals, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and cross-functionally.


Key Responsibilities

Special Projects

  • Support cross-departmental financial projects such as process improvement, data cleanup, and internal audits
  • Assist in system migration, workflow optimization, and policy updates
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare relevant reports
  • Credit Card Reconciliation
  • Gather, track and verify all corporate credit card transactions
  • Follow up with internal teams to collect receipts, approvals, and proper coding
  • Prepare accurate monthly credit card reconciliation reports
  • Identify discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Accounts Payable (A/P)
  • Process vendor invoices, ensure coding accuracy and proper approvals
  • Manage payment runs (ACH / check) and maintain vendor records
  • Assist with matching invoices, POs, and payment documentation
  • Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies
  • General Accounting
  • Assist with month-end close activities (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations)
  • Maintain organized financial files and documentation
  • Support financial audits and compliance requests
  • Track and maintain departmental expense reports


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–3 years of hands-on accounting experience (A/P, reconciliation, general ledger preferred)
  • Experience in staffing, recruiting, or professional services industry is a plus
  • Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
  • Familiarity with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism


Eligibility for H-1B sponsorship may be evaluated after conversion to regular full-time employment.
