Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive and engaging environment for clients.
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members promptly.
- Administer medication reminders or assistance as directed by healthcare plans, ensuring safety and adherence.
- Support clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments or errands.
- Follow care plans meticulously, documenting services provided and any notable observations during visits.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Requirements
- Prior experience in healthcare settings such as Level II trauma centers, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or similar environments is highly desirable.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, post-acute care patients, or those in outpatient or clinic settings.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures, inpatient care protocols, and sub-acute care practices.
- Familiarity with specialized areas such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), OR (Operating Room), or teaching hospitals is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed care instructions accurately.
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, patient-centered care.
