This role carries direct responsibility for $325M in annual procurement spend — managing supplier strategy, OEM relationships, inventory optimization, and demand planning to support KMM's continued growth.
A critical component of this role is building and managing direct procurement channels with OEM partners, reducing reliance on intermediaries, improving cost efficiency, and ensuring supply chain reliability. The Director will negotiate pricing and availability directly with OEM partners and develop long-term sourcing strategies aligned with KMM's business goals.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in procurement and OEM relationship management — whether from telecommunications, network infrastructure, utilities, or adjacent industries with comparable supply chain complexity. Strong familiarity with telecommunications product categories (copper cable, fiber optic cable, and general merchandise) is preferred.

Core Accountabilities
- Procurement Strategy & Supplier Management
- Manage $325M in annual procurement spend
- Source and negotiate directly with OEMs and strategic suppliers
- Serve as primary point of contact for key supplier relationships
- Identify new vendor opportunities and evaluate supplier performance
- Inventory & Supply Chain Optimization
- Implement inventory optimization practices across copper, fiber, and telecom materials
- Drive improvement in inventory turns through active management of excess and obsolete stock
- Ensure accurate item setup and data integrity across systems
- Identify opportunities to reduce carrying costs
- Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Manage forecasting models to improve accuracy and reliability
- Monitor and report on forecast accuracy metrics(MAPE, bias, variance)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, finance, customer service, and operations
- Develop supply plans to meet customer SLAs while minimizing excess inventory
- Team & Operational Leadership
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance or related field
- 8 years of procurement or supply chain experience, with 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience managing direct OEM relationships and supplier negotiations at scale — telecom, network infrastructure, utilities, industrial, or adjacent industries considered
- Demonstrated experience sourcing and managing categories such as copper cable, fiber optic cable, and telecom minor materials
- Hands-on experience with demand planning, supply planning, and forecasting
- Advanced Excel skills (modeling, forecasting, pivot tables, data analysis)
- Strong understanding of forecast accuracy metrics (MAPE, bias, variance)
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or equivalent ERP system
- Experience maintaining or supporting ISO 9001 certified operations
- Background specifically in telecommunications or network infrastructure procurement
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Finance
- Experience with Power BI or equivalent financial analytics tools
- Experience with inventory optimization tools or systems
- Background in scaling procurement operations in a growth-stage company
