What will you own?
- Multi-axis Mill-Turn setups (2–11 axes) and production runs
- Job planning from prints and travelers to efficient workflows
- Tooling selection, offsets, and optimization of speeds/feeds
- First-article verification and tight-tolerance inspections
- On-the-fly NC code edits for cycle time and quality gains
- Uptime, cycle adherence, and steady-state production
- Prepare jobs for lights-out machining when feasible
- Continuously improve setups, tooling strategies, and throughput
- Share best practices; support and mentor teammates
- Keep the work area organized and audit-ready
- Repeatable, crisp setups
- Parts pass inspection the first time
- Spindles turning, schedules met
- Ideas that stick because they work
- 5 years CNC machining experience (mill-turn preferred)
- Fluent in multi-axis setup and machining
- Hands-on with Fanuc, Mitsubishi, or Siemens controls
- Confident reading technical drawings/specs
- DMG Mori NLX/NZX experience preferred
- High school diploma required; vocational/apprenticeship preferred
- 98% yield mindset with strong attention to detail
- Diagnose-root cause-optimize is your default mode
