Key Responsibilities Of a Host Include
- Greeting customers: Providing a warm and welcoming greeting as guests arrive.
- Managing reservations: Ensuring reservations are accurately recorded and managed.
- Providing wait time estimates: Accurately informing guests of potential wait times.
- Guiding guests to tables: Escorting guests to their assigned tables.
- Answering basic questions: Addressing inquiries about the restaurant, menu, and other relevant information.
- Handling phone inquiries: Answering phone calls and taking reservations.
- Taking to-go orders: If applicable, assisting with placing and managing to-go orders.
- Maintaining a clean and organized host station/entryway: Ensuring the host station is tidy and functional.
