About Skillcloud HCM Solutions

Skillcloud HCM Solutions is a technology-enabled HR managed services partner helping organizations across the country strengthen HR operations, improve compliance, and create better employee experiences. We support multiple clients nationwide through a team-based consulting model that combines experienced HR professionals, scalable processes, and smart use of technology to deliver responsive, high-quality service. We are a growth-stage company with significant momentum, a strong sense of purpose, and a genuine commitment to the people and clients we serve.

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic, consultative HR Business Partner to join our growing managed services team and support multiple client accounts across a dynamic, technology-driven environment. In this role, you will serve as a trusted HR advisor and primary point of contact for assigned clients—delivering high-quality HR consulting services, managing the full employee lifecycle, and driving measurable value for each relationship you support.

This is an ideal opportunity for an HR professional who thrives at the intersection of consulting and operations—someone who enjoys building strong client relationships, solving complex people challenges, and leveraging technology to deliver smarter, more scalable HR solutions. If you are energized by a fast-paced growth environment where no two days look the same, we want to hear from you.

Candidates must currently reside in southern Maine and be commutable to the Portland area to be on site at client locations.

Why Join Skillcloud

At Skillcloud, you will have the opportunity to do meaningful HR consulting work across a diverse portfolio of clients while being part of a technology-forward, growth-stage company that is reshaping how HR managed services are delivered. This role offers real scope, strong team support, access to leading HR technology, and the chance to grow your consulting expertise in a business with significant momentum and opportunity.

Benefits:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with Employer-sponsored life insurance
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with Company match
  • Flexible paid time off with a responsible-use approach that supports work-life balance
  • Ongoing professional development and growth opportunities
  • Flexible full-time hours with a remote/ hybrid work environment within the New England market
  • Exempt salary between $80,000-106,000 plus incentive-based compensation rewards

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a strategic HR consultant and primary contact for assigned client accounts, delivering proactive, solutions-oriented guidance aligned with each client’s business objectives.
  • Manage employee relations matters across client organizations, including investigations, disciplinary processes, conflict resolution, and compliance guidance.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle—onboarding, performance management, leave administration, and offboarding—across a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Lead performance review design and execution, manager training, and employee development initiatives tailored to each client’s culture and goals.
  • Leverage HR technology platforms—including Lattice, Salary.com, Nectar, and Service Cloud—to deliver efficient, data-informed service and improve client outcomes.
  • Serve as the client-facing project manager for HR initiatives, coordinating HR Generalists and Data Services to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client HR programs, extend relationships, and drive retention and growth.
  • Contribute to team process improvement, scalable delivery standards, and a culture of service excellence across the Skillcloud consulting team.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated strength in employee relations, HR consulting, compliance, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience in a consulting, outsourced HR, managed services, or multi-client environment strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with HCM platforms, HRIS systems, and HR technology tools; familiarity with Lattice, Salary.com, Nectar, and Service Cloud is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, influence senior stakeholders, and manage multiple client relationships simultaneously.
  • High attention to detail, strong data judgment, and a commitment to confidentiality and compliance.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-stage organization where priorities evolve and independent judgment is essential.
  • Ability to be on site at client locations as needed within the assigned market
