Service Writer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor/Parts Advisor to

support our growing used vehicle and golf cart operations. This dual-role position is

responsible for providing excellent customer service, coordinating service and repair

work, and managing parts sourcing and inventory. The ideal candidate will have

experience in automotive service departments, a working knowledge of parts systems,

and a passion for helping customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Advisor Duties:

 Greet customers in-person and over the phone, assessing their service needs for

used vehicles and golf carts.

 Open and manage service repair orders, ensuring accurate documentation of

customer concerns, vehicle details, and technician notes.

 Communicate clearly with technicians to relay customer concerns and provide

service estimates.

 Follow up with customers on repair status, changes in estimates, and service

completion.

 Review final invoices with customers and explain work performed.

 Schedule service appointments and maintain organized workflow for the service

department.

Parts Advisor Duties:

 Identify, source, and order parts for used vehicles and golf carts (OEM and

aftermarket).

 Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels.

 Work with technicians to ensure timely availability of required parts.

 Track special orders and notify service staff/customers of part arrivals.

 Support front counter parts sales as needed, including walk-in and phone

customers.

 Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts area.

Requirements:

 Prior experience in a service advisor, parts advisor, or related dealership role

(preferred).

 Knowledge of used vehicles and/or golf carts (Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, etc.).

 Strong communication and organizational skills.

 Proficient with dealership management systems (DMS) and parts lookup tools.

 Ability to multi-task and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 Customer-first attitude with a strong sense of professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

 Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Work Environment:

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
