Job Title: Kitchen Technician

Classification: Non-exempt

Reports to: Kitchen Head Chef

Job Summary: Kitchen Tech is responsible for making gummies, chocolates and mints using standardized recipes and formulations.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare food items and other culinary activities as directed by the Kitchen Head Chef, including precisely dosing active and inactive ingredients, and homogenizing large batches of product to ensure a high level of quality and consistency.
• Use a wide variety of commercial kitchen equipment and kitchen utensils safely and in the manner intended.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and utensils, including equipment teardown and sanitation of individual components daily.
• Ensure compliance, at all times, with all sanitation regulations and safety standards in the production of all marijuana infused products produced.
• Perform routine data entry for inventory, work-in-progress, and product management to maintain accurate records.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience working in a Restaurant or food manufacturing facility preferred.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to management.
• Some experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation.
• Team player.
• Basic oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to pass an OAC 3796 background check.

Working Environment

This job operates in a professional processing facility, and commercial kitchen. This role routinely uses standard kitchen equipment.

Physical Requirements

The employee is regularly required to use hands to type, handle, feel.

The employee is frequently required to walk, talk and hear.

The employee is occasionally required to sit and type.

The employee is frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach for 8 hours each shift.

The employee is required to safely lift and/or move up to 70 lbs on a frequent basis.

Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Stipulation of employment is passing an OHIO BCI and FBI background check in accordance with ORC/OAC 3796.

Employees are not allowed to work on the premises until the badge is activated in the Ohio Department of Medical Marijuana e-Licensing portal.
