Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and dependable Fleet Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, experience maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles, and the ability to work on both gasoline and light-duty diesel vehicles. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, stays organized, and contributes positively to the team environment. Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues on fleet vehicles.
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on gasoline and light-duty diesel vehicles.
- Conduct inspections and identify potential safety or maintenance concerns.
- Repair and maintain engines, brakes, steering, suspension, cooling systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment and software to troubleshoot vehicle issues efficiently.
- Maintain accurate service records and work orders.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with management and team members to minimize vehicle downtime.
- Assist with fleet planning and maintenance scheduling as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of automotive or fleet maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience working on both gas and light-duty diesel vehicles.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and fleet operations.
- Ability to use modern diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with vehicle repair.
