The Opportunity:

The Store Manager is a highly visible and strategically important leadership role responsible for driving the overall performance, culture, client experience, and operational excellence of one of Long’s luxury retail locations. This individual will effectively lead, develop, and support a best-in-class team while helping set the tone for the store environment and customer experience.


The Store Manager serves as a constant presence on the sales floor, balancing leadership, sales maximization, and client engagement while fostering a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive environment for both employees and customers. This role plays a critical part in driving revenue performance, developing high-performing store talent, and cultivating a client-focused culture that strengthens both employee engagement and customer loyalty.


The ideal candidate is a relationship-oriented leader who thrives in a high-touch luxury environment and demonstrates strong judgment, professionalism, accountability, and a passion for developing people and building long-term client relationships.


Key Responsibilities and Attributes:

Leadership & Team Development

Actively coach team members on both technical skills and client engagement; create clear growth paths and hold individuals accountable for progress. Accurately assess capabilities of team members and build individual growth plans to support ongoing learning and development, including taking an active role in quarterly and annual performance appraisals.

Client Engagement & Sales Excellence

Ensure every client interaction reflects the standards and storytelling expected in the luxury space. Demonstrate leadership by playing an active role on the sales floor and managing client relationships personally. Elevate the in-store experience through the creation of unique experiences and consistently delivering memorable moments.

Operational Leadership

Maintain excellence in daily operations, inventory integrity, and presentation standards while reinforcing their importance with the team. Protect the soundness of the daily business, always practicing accurate inventory and safety protocols.


Qualifications:

  • 5 years of progressive leadership experience within luxury retail, hospitality, or another highly client-centric environment.
  • Proven success leading teams, developing talent, driving sales performance, and cultivating long-term customer relationships is essential.
  • Demonstrated exceptional coaching, communication, motivational, and team-building skills along with a strong operational mindset and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and business needs.
  • Highly professional, emotionally intelligent, relationship-oriented, and comfortable leading from the sales floor in a visible and hands-on capacity.
  • Experience utilizing reporting tools, CRM systems, POS systems, and retail technologies is preferred.


The salary range for this position is $115,000 to $120,000, plus additional benefits and bonus potential. Compensation is determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function, and associated responsibilities, as well as a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
