What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Klockner Metals?
POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team.
Hours are 6AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections on finished parts to ensure quality standards and compliance.
- Interpret welding blueprints, schematics, and job specifications.
- Use tape measures and other inspection tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Document inspection results and report non-conformities or defects.
- Work with welders and supervisors to address quality issues and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company policies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in the welding and quality departments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience with Quality Control
- Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent certificate.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES
- Excellent speaking, writing and listening skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time.
