Klein Designs is a custom embroidery studio based in Brooklyn, NY. Our goal is to make clothing unique and personal by allowing customers to be part of the design process as well as creating custom designs. Our studio offers embroidery in a variety of opportunities including on our own line of products, items people send to our studio, and in studio and pop up events!
Role Description
We are looking for a highly creative and motivated individual to join our small, but mighty team to lead on embroidery production daily operations. The role will involve learning how to operate embroidery machines (no experience is required), embroidering orders from our website & custom projects, assisting with organization of production, working to optimize production for highest efficiency, working with high level of attention to detail regarding designs, thread colors, and placements etc., and working with our team to conceptualize brand development new designs. This role will also entail embroidery production operations during our pop up and studio events.
The ideal candidate is also passionate about working with a small business and is eager to learn new skills and helping our team in other tasks when needed. This is a part time role (starting at 3 days a week) which will be contracted for 6 months with the potential opportunity to be extended. Must be available and flexible to work some weekends for events.
Pay starts at $17/hour and there is lots of room for growth within this role!
Qualifications
- Attention to detail and ability to execute designs accurately
- Sewing/embroidery experience is highly preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Fast learner
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Highly creative visual
- Experience in Adobe is a plus
- Experience in Shopify is a plus
