Accountabilities & Expectations
- Perform cleaning tasks up to Kleen Standards. Scope of work provided to inform detailed duties per location.
- Perform to quality & inspection standards which KleenMark provides tools and training support for.
- Work under EHS safety policies and procedures. (i.e. when using cleaning chemicals, medical cleaning, reporting incidents, etc.)
- Reports to work each day and on time.
- Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers by maintaining a positive attitude.
- Maintain health requirements in compliance including medical exams and immunizations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Operating Rooms (ORs) — Performs detailed cleaning and disinfecting of surgical suites, including high-touch surfaces, equipment surfaces, floors, and preparation areas. Follows strict infection-control protocols and terminal cleaning procedures.
Patient Rooms & Discharges — Cleans and disinfects patient rooms during stay and after discharge, including beds, furniture, bathrooms, high-touch points, and medical-adjacent surfaces. Ensures rooms are prepared and ready for incoming patients.
Exam Rooms — Cleans and disinfects exam tables, counters, sinks, equipment surfaces, and high-touch areas. Restocks supplies as needed.
X-Ray & Imaging Areas — Cleans and disinfects imaging rooms, including equipment surfaces (non-clinical touch points), floors, and patient-contact areas while following radiation-area safety guidelines.
General Clinical Areas — Maintains cleanliness in hallways, nurses’ stations, waiting rooms, and other patient-facing spaces to support infection prevention and a safe environment of care.
Restrooms | Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors, etc. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.Floors | Sweeps, mops, vacuums, floors using brooms, mops, and vacuum cleaners. Other floor work may be required such as: scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors.Break rooms /Kitchenettes | Cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, etc. Replenishes break room supplies.Dust | Dusts furniture, equipment, partitions, etc.Trash | Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transports to disposal area.Other Duties | Cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, using vacuum cleaner (hip or backpack). Washes walls and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, partitions, sills, etc.
