In this role, you will work with Klarna’s largest and most strategic PSPs and uncover growth opportunities and deliver scalable, value-driven solutions. You’ll need to be comfortable in a fast-paced, self-directed environment where critical thinking, rapid learning, and strategic decision-making are essential to success. In this role, you will:
- Develop and execute Klarna’s PSP partnership strategy: identify target PSPs, align them with our global product & geographic goals, define partnership objectives, KPIs and go-to-market plans.
- Own the end-to-end relationship with PSPs: contract negotiation, SLAs, commercial terms, servicelevels, implementation roadmap, ongoing optimisation.
- Work cross-functionally with product, engineering, operations, risk/compliance and go-to-market teams to ensure PSP integrations meet Klarna’s standards for performance, scalability, reliability and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor PSP performance (e.g., volume, conversion, approval rates, charge-backs, fault-rates), build dashboards, identify improvement opportunities and drive value creation.
- Be the subject-matter expert for PSP capabilities and market-trends: acquire deep understanding of acquiring, card networks, global/regional PSP business models, payments regulation and market innovations.
- Spot new partnership opportunities (e.g., embedded-payments, alternate payment methods, global expansion support) and collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate, prioritise and launch them.
- Manage risk, compliance, and card-network mandates impacting PSP relationships; liaise with networks, acquirers and regulatory teams to ensure Klarna remains ahead of evolving requirements.
- Evangelise Klarna’s payment strategy internally; align stakeholders, build business-cases, secure resources and drive partner success.
- Provide leadership and mentorship (if applicable) to more junior partnership resources working on PSPs or adjacent partner segments.
- 5 years in Business Development, Account Management, or Sales.
- Experience in retail, payments, technology, and/or ecommerce.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Highly driven with a passion for learning about and engaging with new cultures.
- Desire to build a business from the ground up.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Thrive in an environment that values ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications.
- Experience with international markets and cross-cultural communication.
- Proficiency in multiple languages.
- Experience with CRM tools and data analysis software.
