Duties:
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes.
- Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, assisting patients at discharge, and preparing patient's rooms.
- Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up communications efficiently.
- Assist with clinical documentation including ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) for accurate billing and record-keeping.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Handle administrative duties like answering phones, managing patient records, and coordinating with physician's offices.
Skills:
- Proficiency with EHR systems for documenting and scheduling.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verifications and basic life support certification.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently in outpatient settings.
