Key Responsibilities
- Maintain security by controlling access, operating surveillance equipment, and conducting regular checks
- Supervise juvenile movement, counsel juveniles, and maintain discipline
- Conduct health and safety checks, prepare and serve meals, and provide access to medical care
- Follow procedures for receiving and discharging juveniles, ensuring security of personal property
- Write reports, enforce house rules, and respond to disturbances and emergencies
- Supervise housekeeping activities and perform janitorial duties in the facility
- Administer approved medication and maintain accurate records
- Assist law enforcement agencies with information on juveniles in detention
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three months of related experience and/or training
- First Aid Certificate and CPR Certification preferred
