JOB JOB SUMMARY
Tutors are responsible for assisting students in KCC primarily in the subject areas of writing, communications, and speech, and other general education courses as needed via individual or group tutoring sessions.
This is a non-benefitted part-time job of 20 - 28 hours per week not to exceed 128 hours per pay period. Some extended hours may be required. The pay is between $15.50 to $25.50 depending on degree and experience. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Help students with content previously covered in the classroom
- Aid students with problem solving strategies
- Provide support with use of appropriate learning tools depending on the subject area
- Identify and record common problem areas for the purpose of developing support services and reference materials
- Reach out to students via phone call, text, and/or email to offer academic support
- Assist in maintaining Tutoring Center data
- Adhere to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations
- Contribute to a friendly and productive learning environment and participate in the overall academic and personal growth and development of participants
- Meet regularly with supervisor and subject area faculty
- Follow and enforce all KCC policies and procedures
- Complete tutor training as applicable
- If assigned, this position may require administrative work on grant-funded program activities and reporting
- Other duties as assigned
