Orientation & Mobility Specialist (COMS) - Community Travel Intensive

We are looking for a COMS who loves the "real world" application of mobility. This role involves in-person, high-impact instruction in the Yreka, CA area. We are offering premium rates and travel stipends for a specialist to help a student gain spatial confidence in both rural and urban environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person, 1:1 O&M instruction focusing on street crossings and environmental mapping
• Lead "travel intensives" to busier urban centers to build transportation fluency
• Assess and refine cane techniques for a student with declining vision
• Document progress for compensatory hour fulfillment
  
  

Requirements:

• ACVREP Certification (COMS)
• Ability to travel to Northern California (stipends provided) or local to the area
• Experience with 1:1 intensive compensatory service models
