Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) located in central Maryland (Baltimore County, Howard County etc.). The DSP will assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety. Responsibilities include providing personal care, supporting community activities, implementing training programs to enhance skills and independence, and maintaining accurate documentation of care and progress. Additionally, the DSP will work collaboratively with other team members to promote a supportive environment for the individuals served.
Qualifications
- Background in Human Services or experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and effective Communication abilities
- Experience providing Training and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals while maintaining professionalism
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in a related field is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- CPR and First Aid certification is an advantage
