osition Title: Adult Ed Student and Administrative SupportPosition Type: Part time, generally 3:00-8:30pm Mon, Tues, Thurs, 16-18 hrs/wk, when classes are insession with possible summer hours depending on grant fundingLocation: Kittery Adult and Community Education/Traip AcademyReports to: Cindy Furbish, Asst. Director of Kittery Adult EducationApplication Deadline: Open until filledPart-time opening for an administrative role to support staff and the students enrolled in high schooldiploma, workforce certifications, college preparatory and enrichment classes. Assist with the marketingof classes and building community connections.Qualifications: Experienced office administration skills to organize and record class and studentinformation. Some college or certification experience is preferred to proctor tests.
Experience withencouraging students to support program completion. Understanding and demonstrating an ability toengage with non-traditional and/or adult learners in support of teachers in small multi-level classenvironments. Support advisor, teachers and staff with paper and computer materials to register, test, anddistribute class materials.Facilitate entry of students, teachers and visitors providing information and direction to classes toinclude Zoom and Googlemeet hosting and administeringIncorporate adult and non-traditional learning principles into all communication including letters,email and WEB correspondence.Proctor testing sessions with advisor and teachers which will require taking proctor certificationonline learningCreate a learner-centered, positive teaching and learning environmentAnswer phones, take messages, utilize "Reach My Teach" software and call students aboutclasses.Record keeping and data entry to support learner progress, attendance and completionMaintain, complete and submit academic and enrichment student information in Active,Mainstars, Google classroom, Ed2Go and other support systemsParticipate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development activitiesMay include support at remote locations in the Kittery community.Candidates must submit to a Criminal History Record Check through the State of ME Department of EducationRequired Application Materials: Completed Applitrack ApplicationResumeCover Letter3 current letters of referenceKittery Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
