As the�**Legal Secretary**, you will:
- Respond to routine inquiries by phone and in person, providing accurate information while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism.
- Manage reception duties, including taking and distributing messages, and assisting individuals who may be experiencing sensitive or emotionally charged situations.
- Operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, phones, and fax machines.
- Input, verify, update, and retrieve information within the case management system to ensure accurate and timely case tracking.
- Prepare and open new case files; maintain active files; and monitor deadlines for subsequent required actions.
- Type correspondence, legal documents, reports, forms, and other materials with exceptional accuracy and adherence to department formatting standards.
- Support other legal assistants and office staff to ensure seamless workflow within the division.
- Retrieve documents and case information to support judges, attorneys, and members of the public.
- Prepare and process legal documents as assigned.
- Lift and move office materials or files as needed.
