Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Technician (Night Shift)
Kitchen Guard – Lincoln/Omaha, NE
Pay: $17 - $20/hour
Job type: Part time to Full-time
Schedule: Primarily overnight, 9 PM–5 AM, Sunday–Thursday. Occasional daytime work required.
About the job
Kitchen Guard cleans exhaust hoods, ducts, and fans in commercial kitchens so restaurants stay fire-safe and code-compliant. We work at night while kitchens are closed. You'll join a small crew, learn the trade hands-on, and see the results of your work every shift.
No experience required. We train.
What you'll do
- Clean hoods, ducts, filters, and rooftop exhaust fans using pressure washers, degreasers, and hand tools
- Work from ladders and rooftops to reach the full system
- Drive a company vehicle to job sites
- Take before-and-after photos and complete a job report for each site
- Follow safety procedures and wear PPE on every job
- Represent Kitchen Guard professionally with restaurant staff
What we're looking for
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (required)
- Available to work nights and occasional days
- Able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work on rooftops
- Comfortable getting dirty and working in hot or cold conditions
- Reliable and detail-oriented
- Pressure washing, hood cleaning, or industrial cleaning experience is a plus, not required
