RN Unit Manager
Pay: Starting $43.00 per hour-Based on Experience
Secure Dementia Unit
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Unit Manager to lead our secured memory care unit, supporting residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other cognitive impairments.
This role provides clinical leadership, ensures high-quality care delivery, and supports staff in managing behavioral and cognitive needs in a structured, person-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the secured memory care unit
- Supervise and support nursing staff (LPNs & CNAs)
- Manage assessments, care plans, and clinical documentation
- Lead behavioral care interventions (e.g., agitation, wandering, sundowning)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Ensure regulatory compliance and resident safety
- Support admissions and respond to clinical or behavioral emergencies
Qualifications
- Active RN license (NYS)
- 2–4 years clinical experience; leadership and long term care experience preferred
- Required: experience with dementia and cognitive impairments
- Experience in a secured/locked unit strongly preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
