Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and enhancement of residential and commercial outdoor spaces. This role involves hands-on landscape care, including mulching, pruning, planting, weeding, edging, and general grounds maintenance.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions, has a strong attention to detail, and takes pride in creating and maintaining clean, healthy, and visually appealing landscapes. Responsibilities include installing plants and seasonal flowers, applying mulch and soil amendments, trimming shrubs and small trees, maintaining garden beds, and operating basic landscaping tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
This position requires physical stamina, the ability to follow instructions, and a team-oriented attitude. Prior landscaping experience is preferred.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate landscape maintenance activities, including mulching, trimming, pruning, planting, and general maintenance.
- Lead landscaping projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety standards
- Train and mentor crew members in horticultural techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and project progress for accountability and reporting
- Perform snow removal services in the winter months.
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance
- Supervising experience leading outdoor crews in lawn care, gardening, or construction projects
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients, team members, and vendors
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to maintenance protocols
