What You’ll Do as a Strategic Sourcing Specialist
In this role, you’ll:
- Develop and implement commodity strategies and analyze market trends
- Identify, qualify, and recommend sources of supply that ensure the lowest total cost, the best service, and quality
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure appropriate cost, schedule, quality, payment and delivery terms.
- Drive performance improvements, innovation, quality, cost savings, and mitigate risk
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and improve efficiencies
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management preferred
- Prior experience in strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or procurement
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities
- A proven team player with creative problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel
- Onsite, indoors, in a controlled temperature environment, with a variation of noise levels.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and adapt to varied work environments
- Travel occasionally for training or customer/vendor visits
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
