What You’ll Do as a Sales Representative
In this key role, you’ll help power our customers’ success while executing effective sales strategies and ensuring an outstanding customer experience from start to finish.
You’ll:
- Support the sales budget process and consistently achieve sales goals.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to grow market share.
- Participate in joint sales calls with targeted customers.
- Prepare customer quotes and manage opportunities in the CRM system.
- Process customer orders and requests for products and services.
- Monitor backorders and ensure on-time delivery.
- Identify opportunities to train customers on product applications.
- Collaborate with internal departments to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Travel within the Central Indiana territory (10–20%).
- Proven sales experience—business-to-business experience preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn and grow within the electrical distribution industry.
- Monday–Friday (Typical Business Hours)
- 50% of your time will be spent in the office/on the computer.
- Some travel required (10–20% within the Central Indiana territory).
