Kirby Risk is seeking an Automation Specialist - Mechatronics in Lafayette, IN, to support customers with advanced industrial automation solutions, including Rockwell Automation technologies. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with consultative problem-solving in a growth-focused environment.
What You’ll Do as an Automation Specialist
In this role, you’ll partner with customers and our sales team to deliver forward-thinking automation solutions.
You’ll:
- Collaborate with the sales team to solve complex customer challenges through a consultative approach.
- Provide technical sales support for Rockwell Automation Power products, including VFDs, MCCs, and Medium Voltage solutions, ensuring proper application, configuration, and customer value.
- Provides technical sales support and system sizing for Rockwell Automation Motion and mechatronics solutions, aligning product selection with customer performance and application requirements.
- Support and promote advanced automation technologies, including Rockwell Automation solutions
- Provide technical guidance and education to customers to improve their operational success.s
- Assist customers in implementing solutions involving Industrial Controls.
- Support automation initiatives tied to Industrial IoT in manufacturing environments
- Build strong customer relationships through professionalism and technical expertise.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Functional knowledge of Industrial Controls
- Familiarity with factory plant floors and industrial equipment preferred
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET), or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and detail-driven
- Strong critical thinking and problem-resolution skills
- Interest in Industrial Automation Consultation involved in Industrial manufacturing settings
