Job Summary: Member of a dedicated team of professionals with specialized skills. Responsible for abstraction and analysis of data obtained from the documentation of clinical processes and practices primarily for the acute care setting. Focusing on prevention of hospital associated infections through analysis of data from a variety of sources to identify trends and implement preventative measures within the organization. Responsible for supporting organization-wide quality management and infection control practices through performance improvement programs and activities. Collaborate and form relationships among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; providing education and training health care staff.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of clinical practice and infection control principles.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as CDC, IDPH, NHSN, and Joint Commission.
- Extremely detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and follow through to meet established deadlines with stringent guidelines.
- Demonstrates ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Must be self-motivated and strive for personal growth.
- Ability to work flexible hours and possess the ability to accept change.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products – Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Teams, and multiple databases.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and related clinical informatics tools.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with clinicians and leadership teams
