Schedule: M-F 40 hours
Job Summary: HIM coding manager provides leadership and technical expertise of coding operations.. Coordinates oversight responsibility for coding aspects, including performing peer audits as needed, mentors and trains new coding staff. Serves as a resource regarding medical record content and regulatory requirements. Adheres to all duties of a certified coder.

Regulatory Requirements:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented HIM Coding Manager to oversee and manage our coding teams (diagnosis and procedure coding). The ideal candidate will have-
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or three years of related experience.
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC), required. Certification must be current.
- Strong background of diagnoses/procedures in accordance with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, HCPCS coding principles for Critical Access Hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, professional E&M levels, and Rural Health Clinic.
- Proven track record of achieving and maintaining a 95% coding accuracy rate.
- Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and ability to control demeanor in challenging situations.
