Kinsa is recruiting for a: R&D Technical Product Manager
Location: Southeastern Alabama (Onsite)
The R&D Product Manager leads product development initiatives for shelf-stable food manufacturing, guiding products from concept through commercialization. This role partners cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Customer teams to ensure new and improved products meet all expectations for performance, manufacturability, cost, and regulatory compliance. As a key technical leader, this position drives innovation, formulates new products, improves existing formulations, and ensures successful scale-up into full production.
Compensation/Benefits:
- $115,000 – $135,000 compensation range

Competencies Needed for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of R&D, product development, or technical formulation experience within food manufacturing; shelf-stable or thermal processed foods.
- Hands-on experience collaborating directly with customers on product requirements, concept development, formula adjustments, and sample presentations.
- Proven track record formulating food products, managing bench-top testing, and conducting plant-scale trials.
- Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, food processing methods, thermal processing, shelf stability.
- Ability to translate customer requirements into manufacturable formulas with appropriate specifications and processing parameters.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Procurement, and Engineering to commercialize products successfully.
- Ability and willingness to travel 20% to customers and other client facilities.
