An established luxury hospitality business in Naples, Florida is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead all aspects of financial management, reporting, compliance, and commercial performance. Reporting directly to ownership and senior leadership, this role will provide strategic financial oversight while ensuring strong operational controls across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and finance operations
- Prepare monthly financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and cash flow reporting
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency
- Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, banking relationships, and treasury functions
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
- Lead annual audits and coordinate with external accountants and advisors
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and financial procedures
- Partner with operational leadership to support business planning and decision-making
- Lead and develop the finance team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation strongly preferred
- 5 years' experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior finance leadership role
- Hospitality, restaurant, hotel, or luxury service industry experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls
- Experience with payroll, sales tax, and multi-department P&L management
- Advanced Excel and accounting systems proficiency
- Strong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and leadership skills
