Duties
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ensure all floors are swept, mopped, vacuumed, or polished to maintain a professional appearance
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and other consumables to ensure availability at all times
- Conduct safety inspections of the premises, reporting any hazards or maintenance needs promptly
- Assist with set-up and breakdown of event spaces or special activities within the facility
- Follow established health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain compliance with regulations
- Support school administrative staff by performing light maintenance tasks or assisting with logistical needs as required
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in an educational environment preferred
- Experience working in early childhood education centers or schools highly desirable
- Familiarity with educational administrative software and productivity tools such as Microsoft Office is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff or work as part of a team managing multiple responsibilities effectively
- Background in school or higher education administration and personnel management in education settings is a plus
- Strong writing skills for documentation and reporting purposes
- Proven track record of maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in busy environments
