Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and custodial services, with the ability to perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role is essential in supporting the overall operations by providing high-quality janitorial and custodial services in both commercial and residential settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Conduct specialized floor care such as buffing, stripping, and polishing to preserve flooring quality.
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks, including cleaning large equipment or machinery as needed.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, or touch-ups to ensure the facility remains in excellent condition.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and other designated areas.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Support other team members with porter or custodial duties as required for smooth facility operations.
Requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and operating cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
