Duties
- Lead and motivate a team of baristas during your shift, ensuring efficient and friendly service at all times
- Oversee coffee brewing, food preparation, and serving processes to maintain high quality standards
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate sales transactions and cash handling
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, proper food handling procedures, and cleanliness standards
- Assist with training new team members on café operations, POS usage, and customer service techniques
- Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and coordinate with management for ordering needs
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and promote a positive guest experience through excellent service
Requirements
- Proven experience as a barista with strong knowledge of coffee preparation and food service operations
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a café or retail environment preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and cashiering
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and serving best practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift supplies, and perform physical tasks associated with café operations
