At Gong Cha Tomball, we are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused barista to join our team. The barista will prepare and serve high-quality beverages and food items, provide excellent customer service, and maintain a clean and welcoming café environment.
Job Description:
- Prepare and serve teas, coffees, and other beverages according to company recipes and standards
- Operate equipment such as tea brewers, induction cookers, blenders, etc.
- Take customer orders accurately and process payments using POS systems
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment
- Restock supplies such as cups, lids, syrups, and food items
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle customer concerns professionally
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Potential SHIFT LEADER POSITION includes, but not limited to: overseeing the store workflow, guiding other team members in problem solving, maintaining inventory, assisting with training for new hires, and opening/closing the cash register.
Requirements:
- Able to lift 35 lbs in weight.
- Education: High school or equivalent (Required)
- Work authorization: United States (Required)
- Previous barista or food service experience is a plus (but not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Adherence to safety and food handling procedures is expected, as is the adherence to local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.
- Minimum 3 shifts required per week, must be available to work at minimum 1 weekend shift per week.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $9.00 - $16.00 per hour
