Position Overview

The Senior Director of Sales, Building Solutions is a mission-critical leader within Kingspan Insulation North America, accountable for driving top-line growth, market expansion, and high-performance execution across all sales channels. This role demands a strategic, execution-focused mindset with a high sense of urgency, a deep competitive drive, and a “refuse-to-lose” mentality.

Reporting directly to the President, this role leads a dynamic, cross-functional sales organization encompassing National Accounts, Distribution, OEM, and Specification teams. The ideal candidate is both a disciplined operator and inspirational leader, capable of setting bold targets, acting swiftly, and instilling a culture that values excellence, customer obsession, and accountability.

Success in this role will require not only commercial expertise but a demonstrated ability to execute strategy, cultivate high-performing teams, and foster trust, safety, and integrity across all interactions. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve a high-performing sales organization with oversight of National Accounts, Distribution, OEM, Business Development, and Specification Sales.
  • Develop and execute an integrated sales strategy across channels to achieve annual revenue and margin targets, with emphasis on market share expansion and customer satisfaction.
  • Set and manage annual specification and sales targets, collaborating with finance and executive leadership to forecast, monitor, and adjust strategy to ensure performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with major accounts—including national distributors, big-box retailers (Home Depot, Lowe’s, Menards), and national/regional builders and remodelers.
  • Oversee Distribution Sales through directors, regional managers, and rep partners—ensuring alignment, execution, and service excellence.
  • Drive OEM market penetration in precast, tilt-up, roofing, and direct-sell XPS segments through technical selling and solution-based engagement.
  • Advance the specification strategy, increasing adoption of Kingspan solutions through close collaboration with architects, specifiers, and designers.
  • Lead the development and execution of KPIs aligned to corporate objectives, ensuring visibility, performance tracking, and accountability across the team.
  • Support budget development, manage sales-related costs (including staffing and marketing spend), and monitor performance against financial targets.
  • Champion the use of CRM tool and data analytics to drive forecasting, opportunity management, and decision-making.
  • Mentor and coach team members, building a culture of accountability, development, and high performance. Identify and prepare future leaders through succession and resource planning.
  • Analyze market conditions, identify new growth opportunities, and expand into emerging sectors through strategic business development.
  • Foster close, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams—especially Marketing, Product Development, Finance, and Operations—to ensure aligned execution.
  • Promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all company, state, and federal safety policies and procedures.
  • Uphold company policies and ensure sales operations are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. Proactively manage risks related to finance, reputation, and operations.
  • Serve as a key member of the Kingspan Insulation North America leadership team, reporting to the President and collaborating across functions to support business growth.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President, Kingspan Insulation North America.
