JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Accounting Assistant is responsible for supporting all aspects of the Accounting Department under Kingsmark Security Group.
Essential Functions

- Provides accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department.
- Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
- Accurate data entry.
- Preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records.
- Reconciliation of accounts.
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
- Inform management and compile reports.
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Constantly update job knowledge.
- Special projects as assigned by the Controller.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, fax machines and copy machines. Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds.
Required Education, Experience & Abilities
- High School Degree required.
- Associate’s degree in relevant certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
- QuickBooks and NetSuite preferred.
- Competency with using personal computers and Microsoft Software programs and all standard programs used by the industry required.
- Adaptable to change, able to work in a fast-paced environment; meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision and sound judgment skills.
