Pool Technician

Job Summary

Looking for helpers to take on the end of summer pool maintenance season and closing down pools for the winter. Duties

• Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing, and debris removal to maintain crystal-clear water quality.
• Balance pool chemistry by testing water levels and adjusting chemical agents such as chlorine, pH adjusters, and algaecides to ensure safe swimming conditions.
• Troubleshoot and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators using hand tools and power tools.
• Conduct inspections of plumbing systems, mechanical components, and water treatment systems to identify issues early and perform preventative maintenance.
• Handle water treatment chemicals safely, following all safety protocols and industry regulations to maintain proper chemical levels.
• Operate company vehicles responsibly for transporting equipment and supplies to various aquatic facilities.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding pool status, maintenance schedules, and safety procedures to provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in pool maintenance or aquatic facility operations is highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot pool equipment issues efficiently.
• Familiarity with pool plumbing systems and water treatment chemical handling procedures.
• Experience with pool chemistry balancing and water quality testing methods.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment safely.
• Outdoor work experience is essential; comfort working in various weather conditions is required.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients.
• Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles responsibly.
• Knowledge of aquatic facility safety standards and preventative maintenance practices is a plus.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
