Electrical Apprentice NEEDED

Job Summary
Kings Heating, Air & Electric is seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical systems within construction and industrial environments. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to develop skills in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance under the supervision of experienced electricians. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in electrical work, safety-conscious attitude, a fun personality and a willingness to learn industry standards and practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues and perform tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems.
• Work with low voltage and high voltage wiring in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Support the setup of electrical components following schematics and construction plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
• Learn to identify potential hazards related to electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage risks.
• Collaborate with team members on framing carpentry tasks when necessary for electrical installations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience or background in residential electrician work is preferred but not required; relevant construction site experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints reading, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
• Knowledge of NEC standards, low voltage systems, high voltage safety procedures, and basic electrical theory is advantageous.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career as an electrician with a focus on construction or industrial projects.
• Ability to work safely at heights and around construction environments while following safety guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
