First located in a 325 square-foot room in East Williamsburg, Kings County began as the smallest commercial distillery in the country, with five 24-liter stainless steel stills making whiskey seven days a week, 16 hours a day. In 2012, the distillery moved into the Paymaster Building in the historic Brooklyn Navy Yard, just steps from legendary site of the Brooklyn Whiskey Wars of the 1860s and the former distillery district of the waterfront.
Kings County blends distilling practices from a variety of cultures into creative whiskeys that remain traditional while defying convention, using Scottish copper pot stills, open fermentation, and local grains to make American whiskeys that expand the category. One of the preeminent craft distilleries in the United States, the American Distilling Institute named Kings County Distillery of the Year in 2016.
Job Description
Kings County Distillery is hiring a part-time Driver with the possibility to turn into a full-time position based out of Brooklyn, NY.
This will be a temporary role for the next 2-4 months, with continued employment after that period possible for the right candidate. This role entails both driving a sprinter van for local deliveries and driving a 16-20ft box truck for transfers of inventory between our Brooklyn and Long Island warehouses.
The ideal candidate is someone who is punctual, professional, detail-oriented, and works well in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility
- Organize the delivery route taking into account neighborhoods & open/close times
- Properly pack product & double-check the order is correct
- Drop off the product at stores/restaurants using our sprinter van (driver's license required to fulfill job duties)
- Move large 500lbs barrels and coordinate with warehouse team for trips between Brooklyn/Long Island warehouses
- Ability to professionally coordinate and work with our team.
- Must have the ability to communicate throughout the day with updates or to report any delays
- Experience driving sprinter vans & box trucks
- Be detail-oriented, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Have a great attitude and help maintain positive relationships with our vendors
- Be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
