Porter
Primary Function
To maintain cleanliness throughout the property and provide assistance to the food and beverage staff in alignment with the mission and core values of the company.
Our mission is to provide a superior gaming and dining experience for all of our guests. As a Porter, you will have the most contact with the areas of the facility where our guests frequent during their gaming and dining experience.
Essential Responsibilities
All job duties are to be performed in accordance with Company Policies & Procedures, Safety Regulations and other legal regulations and requirements (California Health & Safety Code, Division 104, Part 7 - Retail Food). Essential responsibilities include the following. Please note that additional duties may be assigned at a future date:
- Presenting the Casino in a professional, attractive manner by maintaining a clean environment; includes keeping the gaming floor area clean; cleaning and maintaining all restrooms, picking up papers, trays, and recycle boxes from the Gaming Floor, and around the guests
- Assisting Bussers in cleaning the bar area
- Promote teamwork by circulating the gaming floor and dining room for maximum availability and assisting other team members, as needed
- Provide a fun, superior gaming and dining experience by establishing and maintaining a good rapport with guests to promote continued patronage
- Actively participate in safety training by making it a priority each day, takes a leadership role among peers by reporting unsafe practices or hazardous conditions to the CSM, Security or Casino Operations Manager
- Report to CSM or Security any individuals in the casino who appear to be underage, intoxicated, whose conduct appears to be illegal, or who poses a threat to the Company's operations

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills are required. High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. A minimum of 6 months of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred, but not required.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills. Ability to accurately calculate addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in an efficient manner.
Reasoning Ability: The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
