Residential Plumbing Diagnostics Specialist

Kingfisher Recruiting is partnering with a respected, fast-growing residential plumbing company—100% owned by licensed plumbers—to add a seasoned service professional supporting Livingston County. We welcome experienced technicians at the unlicensed, Journeyman, or Master level for a senior service role.

You roll out at 8am with a stocked vehicle and clear work orders. First stop: a homeowner with low water pressure. You diagnose the root cause, walk them through options and pricing, complete a clean repair, and capture notes and photos. Next: a water heater replacement, followed by a sump pump service call and a clogged drain. Throughout the day, you keep the workspace tidy, protect the customer’s home, and represent the company with professionalism. You close out jobs accurately, coordinate parts, and collaborate with dispatch and teammates—wrapping up by 4:30pm unless you’re on the afterhours rotation.

• Diagnose and resolve issues with leaks, clogs, fixtures, water heaters (including tankless), sump pumps, drain/water lines, and related systems.
• Install, replace, and service faucets, toilets, disposals, water heaters, softeners, and other residential components.
• Perform drain clearing and basic sewer/water line troubleshooting in occupied homes, remodels, and service settings.
• Read work orders, assess site conditions, determine materials, and complete work efficiently and safely.
• Communicate clearly with homeowners on findings, recommended repairs, options, pricing, and next steps.
• Protect the customer’s property; maintain an organized workspace, tools, vehicle cleanliness, and inventory.
• Document service notes, photos, invoices, and closeouts with accuracy.
• Follow plumbing codes, company standards, safety practices, and quality expectations.
• Thrive independently in the field while contributing as a reliable teammate.

• Residential service plumbing experience and strong troubleshooting skills across common home systems.
• Professional, customer-focused communication.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean, reliable driving record.
• Physical ability to lift, carry, kneel, crawl, and work safely in tight spaces.
• Detail orientation and pride in workmanship.

• Hands-on experience with water heaters (including tankless), sump pumps, water treatment, drain cleaning, and sewer/water line repair.
• Comfort using tablets, service software, and digital invoicing/documentation.
• Service-first mindset—explaining repair options without high-pressure tactics.
• Backflow, boiler, gas piping, or additional trade certifications.

• Operating hours 8am to 4:30pm
• Afterhours rotation
• Unlimited Overtime

• Base Salary Range: $40-45/hr
• Pay increase for On-Call
