Position Summary
Carter's Plumbing, Heating & Cooling is seeking an experienced Residential Underground Plumbing Installer to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing residential underground plumbing systems, including sewer and water service lines, while delivering an exceptional customer experience. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their workmanship, values teamwork, and enjoys helping homeowners by providing long-lasting plumbing solutions.
As our underground division continues to grow, you'll play a key role in helping us meet increasing customer demand while maintaining the high level of service our customers expect.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace residential sewer lines, water service lines, and underground drainage systems.
- Perform underground plumbing work safely and efficiently while following all local plumbing codes and company standards.
- Excavate and expose underground plumbing systems using proper techniques and equipment.
- Diagnose underground plumbing issues and recommend effective repair or replacement solutions.
- Work closely with excavation crews and other team members to complete projects on schedule.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Complete job documentation accurately and thoroughly.
- Represent Carter's Plumbing, Heating & Cooling with professionalism and integrity at every customer interaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience installing or repairing residential underground plumbing systems.
- Experience with sewer line and water service replacements preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential plumbing systems and underground installations.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and excavation equipment (or willingness to learn).
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to producing quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed plumber or plumbing apprenticeship experience.
- Experience operating mini excavators, skid steers, or other excavation equipment.
- Knowledge of sewer camera inspections and underground diagnostics.
- Experience working in residential service plumbing environments.
