Childcare Assistant – Kingdom Kids Daycare
Location: Bremerton, WA
Position: Full-Time / Part-Time (Based on Availability)
About Us
Kingdom Kids Daycare is a licensed Christian in-home daycare dedicated to providing a safe, loving, and faith-filled environment where children can learn, play, and grow. We believe every child is a gift from God and strive to teach with patience, kindness, and respect while helping children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
We are looking for a caring, dependable, and positive Childcare Assistant who has a genuine love for young children.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and nap time.
- Engage children in age-appropriate educational activities, crafts, music, reading, and outdoor play.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary daycare environment.
- Follow licensing regulations and health and safety procedures.
- Support positive behavior using patience, encouragement, and consistency.
- Communicate respectfully with parents and the daycare owner.
- Assist with preparing learning materials and setting up daily activities.
- Help children develop social, emotional, and communication skills through play and guided learning.
- Perform light housekeeping related to childcare, including cleaning toys, sanitizing surfaces, washing dishes used by children, and organizing learning areas.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Current Washington State background check (MERIT/DCYF) required.
- Completed 30-Hour Child Care Basics training.
- Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience working with young children preferred.
- Reliable, punctual, patient, and dependable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to lift to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
