What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Cook position at Kingdom Kids Child Development Center?
- Plan and prepare nutritious breakfasts, lunches, afternoon snacks, and special meals according to approved menus.
- Follow Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) meal pattern requirements and portion sizes.
- Prepare meals that accommodate documented food allergies and dietary restrictions.
- Maintain accurate meal counts and CACFP documentation.
- Receive, inspect, and properly store food deliveries using safe food handling procedures.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness by washing dishes, sanitizing equipment, and cleaning all food preparation areas daily.
- Ensure refrigerators, freezers, and food storage areas meet required temperature standards.
- Practice proper handwashing, food safety, and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Monitor inventory and notify administration when supplies need replenishing.
- Work cooperatively with classroom staff to ensure meals are served on schedule.
- Participate in required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Director.
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
