Infant Teacher

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development, physical activity, and social skills etc
• Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain a positive, respectful environment conducive to learning and exploration.
• Collaborate with colleagues on instructional design, academic interventions, and implementing Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for diverse learners.
• Manage classroom behavior through effective conflict management and behavior management strategies while fostering a nurturing atmosphere.
• Maintain compliance with educational regulations and safety standards while documenting student progress through detailed reports and records.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, Montessori methods, literacy education, and physical education for young children.
• Communicate regularly with families about their child's development using writing skills that clearly convey progress and areas for growth.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and preschool curriculum development.
• Ability to design instructional activities that incorporate educational technology and innovative learning strategies.
• Skilled in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and conflict resolution among young learners.
• Familiarity with special education practices, including working with students who have disabilities or require academic interventions.
• Expertise in analyzing student performance data to evaluate progress and inform instructional adjustments effectively.
• Knowledge of educational compliance standards and regulations relevant to early childhood settings.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, families, and support staff to enhance student outcomes.
• Experience working in private or preschool environments with toddlers or infants; Montessori or toddler care experience is a plus.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
