Position: Early Childhood Education Substitute Teacher
Status: As-needed, part-time
Reports to: Division Lead
Pay Rate: $200/day (certified)
Position Overview
Early Childhood Education Substitute teachers at KHPS help maintain continuity of instruction when our regular classroom teachers are absent. You will step into a supportive, Christ-centered environment where your presence ensures our students remain engaged, learning, and cared for.

A nonpublic school must seek and obtain a criminal history background information check on all "applicants seeking positions with, and on all current employees and current employees under review employed by any nonpublic school, who have unsupervised access to or who provide education, training, instruction, or supervision for children in an educational setting." Code of Alabama 1975

Responsibilities
- Follow prepared lesson plans to maintain the learning environment and routines
- Uphold classroom management standards consistent with school values and expectations
- Communicate effectively with students and staff
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly classroom
- Support the spiritual mission of Kingdom Heights by modeling Christ-like character
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Classroom or child supervision experience strongly preferred
- Commitment to the mission and values of classical Christian education
- Ability to manage a classroom with poise, professionalism, and grace
- Flexible, reliable, and able to follow directions and adapt quickly
