I’m a dad of three teenagers and a local business owner running multiple businesses. Life is busy, fast-paced, and sometimes chaotic.
I’m looking for someone who can help bring structure, consistency, and follow-through into our home.
We jokingly call this role “Rent-A-Mom” — not because you’re replacing anyone, but because you help make sure everything actually gets done.
Top Priorities (in order):
1. Laundry (Non-Negotiable #1)
- Laundry is always moving
- Washed, folded, and put away
- Kids help, but you ensure it actually gets finished
2. Clean, Organized, and Maintained Home
- Floors, kitchen, and bathrooms stay clean and functional
- Clutter gets handled (not worked around)
- Tasks like cleaning out the fridge, sanitizing the bathtub, mopping floors, etc. are handled as needed
- You actively involve the kids and ensure they participate and follow through, including maintaining their own rooms
3. Homework & Accountability
- Kids stay on task and complete homework
- You provide structure and follow-through
- Experience with ADHD teens/adults is a big plus
4. Meal Prep / Dinner Support
- Simple meals
- Kids are involved and helping
5. Communication & Follow-Through
- You let me know what’s needed or falling behind
- Nothing slips through the cracks
- You don’t just notice problems — you communicate them
The Balance We’re Looking For
This role is about active leadership and execution.
- Not doing everything for the kids
- Not sitting back and just telling them what to do
You’re someone who:
- Is actively cleaning, organizing, and preparing meals throughout the shift
- Keeps the kids moving and on task at the same time
- Assigns tasks, follows up, and ensures they’re completed
- Works alongside them while holding them accountable
- Doesn’t stop at “start” — you make sure things get finished
Availability & Commitment (Important)
This role works best for someone looking for consistency and stability.
- We are looking for someone who can commit to this schedule long-term
- This is not a short-term or temporary position
- If you are currently in school full or planning a major schedule change (such as moving away for college) in the next 6 months, this likely isn’t the right fit
We are specifically looking for someone who is not in a transitional phase and can provide consistent support to our household.
About the Kids
- 3 teenagers
- Fully capable, but need structure and accountability
- Your role is to guide, reinforce, and follow through
Schedule
- Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Wednesday: 1:30 PM – 6:30 PM
- Thursday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
(Potential for additional hours as needed)
Pay
- $18–25/hour depending on experience and performance
- Opportunity to grow into more responsibility
Ideal Candidate
- Extremely reliable (non-negotiable)
- Comfortable balancing cleaning, organizing, and working with teens
- Experience with ADHD households
- High initiative and strong follow-through
- Firm but kind
- Takes pride in getting things fully done
What Success Looks Like
When you leave for the day:
- Laundry is done and put away
- House is clean and reset
- Kids made real progress on homework
- Dinner is handled or prepped
- You’ve communicated anything important
The home feels under control, not behind day.
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
