Location: King Style Dog Boarding – Joplin, MO
Position Type: Part-Time Seasonal Summer Role, Which Can Be Reassessed at End of the Summer for Potential Permanent Role
Pay Range: $14–$16/hour, based on experience
About the Role
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Client Services Coordinator to be the voice of King Style Dog Boarding! This role is essential to helping our clients feel confident, informed, and excited to book their pets with us.In addition to managing phone calls, reservations, and payments, this role includes organizational tasks and light administrative work that help our business run smoothly behind the scenes. From baking homemade dog treats to prepping fun holiday packages, you'll help keep everything running and customers delighted.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming phone calls during business hours with a warm, professional tone
- Respond promptly and professionally across multiple channels: phone, text, email, Facebook Messenger, reviews platform, and in-app messaging
- Accurately take and enter reservations into our system
- Collect and process payments over the phone via credit card
- Confirm upcoming appointments and send reminders as needed
- Answer basic questions about services, pricing, and policies
- Handle customer concerns or escalate them to management when needed
- Keep clear records and follow internal processes for consistency
- Update vaccination records and maintain current client files in our system
- Ensure all scheduled services (feedings, medications, etc.) are completed daily by checking our system
- Print and prepare run cards and place them at each kennel with clipboards and pens
- Order office and pet care supplies as needed
- Follow simple recipes to bake and package treats in our kitchen for client sales
- Cut seasonal bandanas and help prep holiday specials and gifts
- Organize paperwork and keep client records neat and accessible
Ideal Candidate
- Has excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Is tech-comfortable and a quick learner on booking/payment systems
- Pays close attention to detail and follows structured procedures
- Has experience in customer service or administrative roles (preferred)
- Is calm under pressure and communicates clearly
- Is dependable, punctual, and proactive
Bonus Points For:
- Experience in pet care, vet clinics, grooming, or animal-related industries
- Familiarity with CRM or scheduling tools
