What are the responsibilities and job description for the Producer (Seasonal) position at King Studio?
King Studio is looking for a highly organized and creative Seasonal Producer to join our team for a fast-paced, 3-month contract. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our "Personal Content" (PC) vertical, taking full ownership of the production pipeline from initial concept to final delivery. We produce high-quality content at a rapid cadence, typically releasing one video every 1–2 weeks. You’ll be working on-site at our Agoura Hills studio (transitioning to our new Westlake Village location in March), collaborating closely with our in-house creative and technical leads to bring ambitious visions to life on a tight schedule.
- Pre-Production: Refine creative concepts, develop production schedules, and produce quick mockup videos to align on vision.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison between the Art Supervisor and VFX Supervisor to ensure all technical and aesthetic requirements are met.
- Crewing & Logistics: Source and hire freelance crews for shoot dates and manage all on-set logistics.
- Directing: Take the lead on set, directing talent and crew to execute the creative vision efficiently.
- Post-Production Management: Transition projects into the post-pipeline, maintaining regular check-ins with editors and VFX artists to ensure deadlines are hit.
- Administration: Attend weekly Monday meetings for creative brainstorming and status overviews; manage project budgets and submit timely expense reports.
- Experience: Proven track record in producing and directing digital content, ideally in a fast-turnaround environment.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to create rough mockup videos and a strong understanding of the VFX and art department workflows; Premiere Pro or Davinci experience preferred!
- Leadership: Strong "boots-on-the-ground" directing skills with the ability to manage both in-house teams and external freelance talent.
- Organization: Exceptional project management skills; you should be comfortable juggling multiple projects in different stages of production simultaneously.
- Availability: Ability to work in-office 5 days a week (9am – 5pm).
- Location: Commutable to Agoura Hills (and Westlake Village starting in March).
